Flying Buddha in the Media
COVID Update

At this time we offer online classes via zoom, in-studio classes, special workshops, and private classes. You must register online, no walk-ins please.

Please note, we follow Montgomery County for the latest COVID news and information. In 2020 we installed multiple UV-C lighting throughout our HVAC system to help purify the air and we are practicing strict cleaning and sanitation of common areas and equipment. For sanitation purposes we offer hammock rentals. Hammock kits are also available for those who want their own hammock or to practice from home. Please refer to our policies and procedures before coming to the studio for additional details.

If you’re new to the studio—we are glad you found us! Be sure to check out our new student specials and FAQs, and always feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about getting started.

Love More. Have less pain. That’s what we want for ourselves and the world. It can feel elusive without the right tools and community.

Our daily lives can be filled with toxic energies that bring us down without our even being aware.

Through the repetition of an unconscious life, this dysfunction becomes the new norm. Then we pass it on to our families.

We can break out of that trap by using leading-edge techniques like Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), aka Tapping!

Experienced certified EFT practitioner Scott Fox will guide you as you gain first hand knowledge of this powerful body-mind-spirit practice.

    You can expect to experience:

    • Acceleration of desired thoughts and behavior as limiting beliefs get identified and removed.
    • A real EFT session where we will identify and clear stressors holding us back as individuals and as a group.
    • Scott’s client-success-stories over the past 12 years and how you can enjoy similar breakthroughs
    • An understanding of how to use EFT for yourself and with your family and friends to live with more satisfaction and less emotional pain.
    • The science of EFT and why the US government approved in for treatment of veterans with PTSD
    • The quantum surrogate-tapping process to affect positive change in our world.

EFT is safe for all ages. It’s also the most clinically studied segment of energy psychology and has been shown to outperform traditional psychology methods like cognitive behavioral therapy (Journal of Evidence Based Integrative Medicine 2019).

Come join us as we have fun in a safe healing environment and take one more step forward to become that change we want to see in the world.

Using new information about our fascial anatomy and Biotensegrity, this 3 class series will educate you about sensing your body, improving your tone, strength, flexibility, and alignment. It will give you tools for healing and reducing recovery time from injuries and discomfort.

The classes will follow this outline:

    • Each class will begin with a movement exploration warmup; unwinding tension and reconnecting our body using mind awareness (interoception).
    • This will lead to standing modern dance movements, using weight shift, balance, coordination, with adaptations for beginners to more advanced movers.
    • Excerpts from Rommett Floor-Barre(r) will follow, which focuses on stability with flexibility exercises on the floor.
    • Next we explore movement styles and patterns influenced by Feldenkrais and  Alexander technique, as well as Somatic dance floor work to further our body mind connection and unwinding with flow and ease.
    • Finally to finish the class we will stand again, noting the changes we have made, ending with a breathing meditation or a guided fun dance improvisation.

Focus for each session will be:

    • Class 1 – Fascial alignment, stability, and flexibility

We will work on neck, back, and shoulder areas, but requests for teaching other areas are welcome too.

About your teacher: May Kesler is owner of Kesler Physical & Massage Therapy and has a 33-year history in helping people reduce pain and restore function. May has been a dancer for more than 50 years which gives her a unique perspective. “Because of all the work I do as a dancer, it gives me an intuitive sensibility of how the body works and fits together,” she explains. “I look at the body as a whole. All the parts are connected. I look at the patient’s pain or injury and I always relate to their posture, the way they move, the way they hold their head and neck, the way they hold their back, and the way they are seated. I know their issue could be related to organ problems. I conduct a full musculoskeletal evaluation of how their body works.”

Cost of workshop: $85 per student

Ages 6 – 11 and older. Camp is limited to 15 students. Our schedule is TBD. Stay tuned for more!

Upon registering please email us your kids shirts size by 12/13/22 so we can order the appropriate amount of t-shirts for our tie dying activity.
