Flying Buddha in the Media
COVID Update

At this time we offer online classes via zoom, in-studio classes, special workshops, and private classes. You must register online, no walk-ins please.

Please note, we follow Montgomery County for the latest COVID news and information. In 2020 we installed multiple UV-C lighting throughout our HVAC system to help purify the air and we are practicing strict cleaning and sanitation of common areas and equipment. For sanitation purposes we offer hammock rentals. Hammock kits are also available for those who want their own hammock or to practice from home. Please refer to our policies and procedures before coming to the studio for additional details.

If you’re new to the studio—we are glad you found us! Be sure to check out our new student specials and FAQs, and always feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about getting started.

Thai massage is all about doing something that is beneficial and healing for both the person giving and receiving in the session. It teaches us that loving kindness is making sure that we are loving and kind to ourselves first. For when our glass is full we have so much more to give!

You will learn how your hands are an extension of your heart through loving touch. You will also learn about the ‘sen’ which are the energy lines that map out the body and how the energy lines guide our Thai massage movements. Additionally, you will learn about the power of intention and the importance of directing our thoughts and energy when we place our hands on another person. This intentional touch fosters deeper connection and healing.

You will each take turns practicing the different Thai massage techniques on each other. At the conclusion of class there will be a brief discussion of each person’s experience through the workshop with optional champagne, hot tea, and chocolate covered strawberries for you and your loved one to enjoy together.

  • Saturday, 3:30pm- 4:30pm

Students will start out with breath work and gentle yoga for the neck and shoulders to promote good alignment–an important foundation for a face yoga practice. Next students will be guided through a series of exercises and massage techniques that promote an overall sense of well-being, encourage lymphatic drainage, and set students up for success to develop their own self care/skin care routine to do at home.

We will be using two high quality skin care products from our Higher Vibes Self Care Shop: One Love Organics which is certified natural and organic (ECOCERT/COSMOS), synthetic fragrance-free, plant powered, and cruelty free; and Apothecary Company which is small batch, women-owned company that focuses on products that harness the healing powers of crystals, botanicals, and essential oils. You will be provided with cool washcloths to cleanse your face before we begin but please come without makeup and a clean face.

Essentially, this workshop will help you create your own self care routine that incorporates both facial exercise and massage for the largest part of your body–your skin!
