OUR PRACTICE

Securely suspended in a hammock that lets you control how deep and far you want to go while gliding, you’ll merge asanas and aerial arts for an experience that’s as exhilarating as it is empowering. We pay special attention to fun, infusing every moment with creativity and laughter. It’s the perfect environment for a young person to develop better body awareness and find support from an encouraging community.

Thai massage is all about doing something that is beneficial and healing for both the person giving and receiving in the session. It teaches us that loving kindness is making sure that we are loving and kind to ourselves first. For when our glass is full we have so much more to give!

Grab a fellow quarantined friend, family member, or partner for this online workshop where you can safely learn how to do a few Thai massage techniques that will be healing for both the person receiving as well as the person giving each technique. You will learn about the ‘sen’ which are the energy lines that map out the body and how the energy lines guide our Thai massage movements. Also, learn about the power of intention and the importance of directing our thoughts and energy when we place our hands on another person. This intentional touch fosters deeper connection and healing and also empowers participants to learn how to use their hands as an extension of their heart.

You will each take turns practicing the different Thai massage techniques on each other. At the conclusion of class there will be a brief discussion of each person’s experience through the workshop.

    Cost: $50 per couple

Flow & Fly’s Jessie Hill and Traci Tufano invite you to join them as they treat you to Restorative Aerial Yoga with Hot Stones. Restorative Aerial uses the hammock as the main prop to assist the body in each pose. The hammocks are suspended less than 10 inches off the ground and are used to promote a full range of movement. The slow, quiet nature of the practice allows you to relax more deeply than you might in an aerial flow. This type of relaxation can foster better sleep, ward off depression and improve your mental health. While in each pose, Jessie and Traci will add hot stones along students’ energy lines and offer Thai yoga massage assists to encourage an even deeper relaxation and overall yumminess to the experience!

    Cost of workshop: $60
    Early bird:  $50 (Deadline: May 2, 2020)

  • Sunday, 3-4:30pm

In this 90 minute workshop, you will have the freedom to float and sway to the womb-like environment of the supportive, aerial yoga hammock. You’ll learn a few restorative aerial yoga poses, so that you can explore the most relaxing shapes for you during the workshop. Poses can be grounded or flying. After taking shape with the support of the aerial hammock, you’ll enjoy deep vibrational, highly tuned sounds from perfect-pitch crystal quartz singing bowls and chimes. These powerful vibrations can balance dissonant frequencies in the body, bringing them to harmony and creating feelings of relaxation and connection. Each bowl and tone represents a different energy system or chakra, for deeply healing effects. Bring your intentions and be prepared to float away into bliss. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and relaxed in a very unique way

    Cost of workshop: $40
    Early bird:  $35 (Deadline: May 2, 2020)

  • Restorative Aerial Yoga focuses the mind inward as it floats the body through a series of gentle poses. Unlike a regular aerial class that places the hammock about hip height, Restorative Aerial places the hammock less than 10 inches off the ground. Each pose will be held for a few minutes to deeply open the entire spine, hips and connective tissues of the body. No flipping involved!

This training will provide a framework for sharing this practice with others. In this course, you will become a certified aerial yoga teacher and learn how to safely share this yoga practice with others of all levels. You can expect:

    • To improve your own aerial yoga practice! Learn how to use the hammock as a prop to support the body in yin and restorative postures.

    • To learn modifications and variations that you can share with students to make this practice accessible to all

    • To explore the range of this practice! From more intense yin postures to restorative, relaxing decompression of the body

    • To find your teaching voice: find the confidence needed to make this practice encouraging, fun and safe

    • To have access to Jessie Hill and the rest of the Flow & Fly network to support you in your teaching journey

    • To be inspired and create some magic!

The Flow & Fly Teaching Manual is a full-color resource that you will be able to use long after the training is over. The Flow & Fly Teaching Manual is only available to students enrolled in the teacher training.

This course is open to all levels of aerial students! No prior experience needed.
