Aerial Yoga has you securely suspended in a hammock that lets you control how deep and far you want to go while gliding, you’ll merge asanas and breath for an experience that’s as exhilarating as it is empowering. From poses that improve alignment to supportive stretches that decompress your spine, Aerial Yoga takes a dynamic and safe approach to building strength, flexibility, balance, and stability.

Bungee
The bungee apparatus is a new type of aerial fitness. This method is a high intensity, low impact workout on your joints that is a ton of fun! This apparatus requires a pack of bungee cords and a harness worn around the hips and waist to support a person while they move their body into various shapes and practice creative movements from leaping, bouncing, to lunges, push-ups, squats, handstands, jumps, etc. This cardiovascular workout will build coordination, strength, endurance and while toning your body!
The Great Yoga Wall
The Great Yoga Wall enhances posture, flexibility, and strength while decompressing the spine. Its adjustable straps, swings, and bars provide support for deeper stretches, safe inversions, and improved mobility without strain. You just have to experience the unique traction and alignment benefits for yourself!
Pole Fitness

WORKSHOP - Sound Healing in Hammocks with Jessie Hill - June 22
Sunday, 1:30pm – 3pm
In this 90 minute workshop, you will have the freedom to float and sway to the womb-like environment of the supportive, aerial yoga hammock. You’ll learn a few restorative aerial yoga poses, so that you can explore the most relaxing shapes for you during the workshop. Poses can be grounded or flying. After taking shape with the support of the aerial hammock, you’ll enjoy deep vibrational, highly tuned sounds from perfect-pitch crystal quartz empyrean and alchemy singing bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, ocean drum and more. These powerful vibrations can balance dissonant frequencies in the body, bringing them to harmony and creating feelings of relaxation and connection. Each bowl and tone represents a different energy system or chakra, for deeply healing effects. Bring your intentions and be prepared to float away into bliss. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and relaxed in a very unique way.

WORKSHOP - Shibari Summer Camp - July 4
Friday, 1:30pm – 5:30pm
Join Feral Binds and dip your toes into a sensory seducing day of connection, compression and exploration as we test the waters in few of the many intersections of play that rope bondage has to offer.
In this relaxing, and supportive adults only Self Tie Shibari Summer Intensive, expect to tap into inner power dynamics and lean into new spaces of self connection that will leave you tuned in, turned on and even a little breathless.
Dress with personal comfort and level of sensory stimulation you’d like to experience in mind. Yoga shorts/sports bra is ideal. If you choose to experience the rope with your skin covered, think tight fitting top/ leggings. Jeans/baggy clothing not recommended.
We will be using an aerial hammock for a portion of the day. You may bring your own or rent one from the studio upon arrival for $10.
Hemp ropes from Twisted Monk will be provided during class and also available for purchase from your instructor.

About your instructor: Feral Binds has been showing the ropes, for almost as long as she has been learning them. She found early on that through sharing her practice, she could more effectively communicate through and with the rope. As she continues on her learning journey, she brings this “one bind fits somebody-but certainly not every body” explorative mindset as a leader, offering a safe space for questions and connection. As a passionate advocate for self exploration, she hopes to share how the art of rope bondage can evoke deep trust and security in oneself as well as with a chosen partner.

WORKSHOP - Introduction to Heels: 4-Week Pole Series - starts July 9

Wednesdays, 7:15pm – 8:15pmReady to dabble in heels? Or looking to elevate your pole dance experience – literally and stylistically? This 4-week, beginner-friendly series is your gateway to dancing in heels with confidence. You’ll learn foundational heel technique, fluid transitions, floorwork, and beginner-level choreography that helps you connect movement and form. Expect a fun, supportive environment where you can strut, slink, and discover your own heels style. No prior heels experience needed!
What to bring: Pole-specific heels are required. Pleasers are the most popular brand, but other brands such as Ellie, Hella Heels, or similar are also welcome. If you’re new to dancing in heels, we recommend starting with a 7-inch boot-style heel for added ankle support and stability. Knee pads are also required and available for purchase at the studio.

WORKSHOP - Floating Harmony: Aerial Sound Bath Experience - July 12
Saturday, 4pm – 5:15pm
This transformative experience will combine the lightness of a suspended, floating body with the soothing practice of a sound bath.
Harmonizing the body with sound has the power to regulate energy along the meridians and calm negative emotions. It also breaks down old patterns of behavior and the fears attached to them, and resets the physical, emotional and mental body.
The hammock offers a cocoon-like environment, which some compare to the maternal womb that cradles and protects your body.
Enjoy the ultimate experience of relaxation and meditation through a sound bath as you float weightlessly to the binaural sounds of crystal singing bowls.

About Your Teacher: Elise Pierre is a musician and yoga teacher who has adopted a holistic approach to treating an autoimmune disease developed after endometriosis cancer. Her practice integrates sound, holistic breathwork, movement, and mindfulness to create energy-liberating experiences. Particularly dedicated to Sound Bath and Yoga Nidra practices, Elise helps individuals achieve deep relaxation and healing. Her journey began from personal need and has evolved into a passion for guiding others towards wellness.
Outside of her professional life, Elise enjoys working in her vegetable garden and drawing with her two daughters. She loves hiking in the Shenandoah Mountains, swimming in the Mediterranean, and enjoying a good glass of wine with bread and cheese. These activities reflect her belief in a balanced lifestyle, blending physical activity, creativity, and relaxation.
Elise’s extensive teaching experience includes leading sound healing sessions at Wondering Wellness and Thrive Yoga Rockville. She has taught various yoga styles, including Hatha, Flow, Yin, and Vinyasa Yoga, at several reputable institutions. Her dedication to education extends to children and tweens, showing her commitment to spreading the benefits of yoga and mindfulness across different age groups.
With certifications in Meditation in Motion, Breath Therapy, Reiki, and Sound Healing, Elise has also trained extensively in Yoga Nidra, specializing in trauma and PTSD. Her diverse training allows her to offer a comprehensive and compassionate approach, helping students find peace and healing.
WORKSHOP - Flying Buddha Kids Camp (Ages 6 - 11+) - July 14-18

Flying Buddha Kids Camp will teach kids to play and move mindfully through a variety of activities: aerial yoga, aerial arts (including lyra, aerial dance), acrobatics, gymnastics, circus arts (i.e. juggling), breathwork/meditation, and time outside incorporating mindfulness with art and other activities (i.e. tie dye, chalk mandalas).
Ages 6 – 11 and older. Camp is limited to 15 students. Sign up early to reserve your spot!

Get that booty ready for duty with this fun, asstastic workshop. We start with a high energy warm up and drop-it-low drills to learn how to pop, isolate, shake, bounce, roll, and whine on command. From there you’ll throw those assets in a circle, using what you’ve learned in a juicy hip hop choreo. If you’ve never twerked before, don’t worry–with so many ways to twerk we’ll get those glutes gyrating in no time!
Sneakers, knee pads, and loose fitting shorts that allow for maximum jiggle are required. A yoga mat, water, and something to wipe the sweat off are recommended.

This summer, let your little ones fly, play, and discover movement in a safe, creative space designed just for them!
This aerial and acro (partner yoga) playtime is for toddlers (ages 2 to 5) and their parents or caregivers. Our goal is to create a special bonding experience for you and your child. Some playtime activities are designed to be shared with a parent or caregiver and others are for your child to explore his or her own body awareness and creativity. We include a light snack and a fun craft.

WORKSHOP - Upside Down & Strong: Headstands and Forearm Balancing Workshop with Sarah Rehman - July 19

We will begin with a grounding warm-up to engage and activate the muscles that are essential for stability and control in these inversions. Emphasis will be placed on creating a strong foundation through the shoulders, core, and legs while cultivating a sense of calm and focus in the mind.
This workshop is designed to help you develop the strength, stability, and technique needed for headstands and forearm balances. Whether you’re new to inversions or looking to refine your skills, you’ll learn essential drills, alignment tips, and progressions to safely get upside down.
Through guided exercises and personalized instruction, you’ll explore different headstand and forearm balance variations, build core and shoulder stability, and gain tools to incorporate inversions into your practice.
No prior inversion experience is required—just an open mind and a willingness to play!

You will learn easy and graceful ways to get onto the Lyra, beginner-friendly poses, transitions and shapes, low flow on the bottom of the Lyra, and aerial-specific safety and conditioning techniques and drills.

WORKSHOP - Introduction to Heels: 4-Week Pole Series - starts August 6

Wednesdays, 7:15pm – 8:15pmReady to dabble in heels? Or looking to elevate your pole dance experience – literally and stylistically? This 4-week, beginner-friendly series is your gateway to dancing in heels with confidence. You’ll learn foundational heel technique, fluid transitions, floorwork, and beginner-level choreography that helps you connect movement and form. Expect a fun, supportive environment where you can strut, slink, and discover your own heels style. No prior heels experience needed!
What to bring: Pole-specific heels are required. Pleasers are the most popular brand, but other brands such as Ellie, Hella Heels, or similar are also welcome. If you’re new to dancing in heels, we recommend starting with a 7-inch boot-style heel for added ankle support and stability. Knee pads are also required and available for purchase at the studio.

WORKSHOP - Free Play: Intro to Freestyle Exploration - August 8
Friday, 7:45pm – 9:15pm
A big rule of freestyling is to practice freestyling and this movement space is dedicated to helping you do just that! Focusing on the senses and using basic movement sequences, prompts, music, and helpful tips this workshop is supportive for anyone who is looking to take their freestyle practice on the floor and pole even further. Time for individual processing and reflection will also be included to help you deepen your understanding of your body and connection to movement.
A journal/notepad, pen, and kneepads are required. Long socks or heels are welcome.

If you are brand new to aerial yoga this workshop is the start of your journey! We will introduce you to using the aerial hammock as a yoga prop. Students will learn the basics of aerial yoga; including terminology, wrist wraps, hammock placement, inversions, and safety practices. We will also help you understand the difference between the various aerial yoga class offerings. Leaving you feeling confident and ready for classes on our weekly schedule.

WORKSHOP - Flying Buddha Kids Camp (Ages 6 - 11+) - August 18-22
Monday – Friday, 1:15pm – 4:30pm
Flying Buddha Kids Camp will teach kids to play and move mindfully through a variety of activities: aerial yoga, aerial arts (including lyra, aerial dance), acrobatics, gymnastics, circus arts (i.e. juggling), breathwork/meditation, and time outside incorporating mindfulness with art and other activities (i.e. tie dye, chalk mandalas).
Ages 6 – 11 and older. Camp is limited to 15 students. Sign up early to reserve your spot!

You will leave this series feeling confident and ready to attend Hammock Flips, Tricks, and Transitions Level 1 or Beginner Aerial Dance.
- Hang 101: In this class you will learn primary hammock hangs and variations (i.e. Sacral Hang, Hip Hang, Hip Key) that are used in Aerial Arts.
- Climb & Press 102: In this class you will learn different ways to climb and press into the hammock to create various fundamental shapes and transitions used in Aerial Arts.
- Wraps 103: In this class you will learn different ways to wrap the hammock around your body to create various fundamental shapes and transitions used in Aerial Arts.
- Flips 104: In this class you will bring together everything learned in 101-103 and learn different ways to flip in and out of the hammock.
Prerequisites: These Aerial Arts Foundation classes are meant to be taken in order (e.g. 101, 102, 103, 104) to build on what was learned in the previous class. You must complete 101 before moving to 102 and so on. An Aerial Yoga Foundations workshop is not required for these classes but still highly recommended.

After taking shape with the support of the aerial hammock, you’ll enjoy deep vibrational, highly tuned sounds from perfect-pitch crystal quartz empyrean and alchemy singing bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, ocean drum and more. These powerful vibrations can balance dissonant frequencies in the body, bringing them to harmony and creating feelings of relaxation and connection. Each bowl and tone represents a different energy system or chakra, for deeply healing effects. Bring your intentions and be prepared to float away into bliss. Are you ready to embark on a profound journey of self-discovery and transformation? Join us for a comprehensive Aerial Yoga Teacher Training that blends classical yoga principles with the dynamic support of the aerial hammock.
This teacher training is designed to deepen your personal practice while equipping you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to teach safe, effective, and creative aerial yoga classes. Whether your goal is to become a certified teacher or to explore aerial yoga on a deeper level, this training will help you align with purpose, presence, and play.
Throughout This Training, You Will:
- Use the aerial hammock as a prop to support alignment, cultivate confidence, and unlock new levels of creativity in your practice and teaching.
- Master foundational rigging, spotting, and safety techniques specific to aerial yoga, ensuring a secure and empowering experience for your students.
- Learn 108 postures and variations adapted for the aerial hammock, and receive a curated sequence to build dynamic and engaging aerial classes effortlessly.
- Learn how to plan and lead aerial yoga classes with presence, intention, and clarity, guiding your students through a truly unique and transformative experience.
- Learn myofascial release techniques to incorporate into your aerial yoga practice.

Ready to explore yoga in a whole new way? Our Yoga Wall Teacher Training bridges tradition with innovation, offering you the tools to teach confidently and creatively while refining your own practice.
This immersive training is rooted in classical Hatha yoga and explores the power of The Great Yoga Wall—using the yoga wall, along with its various attachments (adjustable straps, swings, and bars) offers unique support for the body. You’ll learn how to use the yoga wall to provide alignment, strength, and traction that meet students exactly where they are.
Whether you aspire to teach or simply want to enhance your practice, this training will guide you toward greater clarity, embodiment, and impact.
Throughout This Training, You Will:
- Train in The Great Yoga Wall postures and inversions with a focused emphasis on achieving traction, precise alignment, and enhanced accessibility for all practitioners.
- Learn wall-specific equipment utilization, modifications, safety protocols, spotting techniques, and effective class sequencing to integrate the Yoga Wall into your teaching seamlessly.
