OUR PRACTICE

Aerial Yoga has you securely suspended in a hammock that lets you control how deep and far you want to go while gliding, you’ll merge asanas and breath for an experience that’s as exhilarating as it is empowering. From poses that improve alignment to supportive stretches that decompress your spine, Aerial Yoga takes a dynamic and safe approach to building strength, flexibility, balance, and stability.

Aerial Yoga Foundations


Beginner Only
If you are brand new to aerial yoga this workshop is the start of your journey! We will introduce you to using the aerial hammock as a yoga prop. Students will learn the basics of aerial yoga; including terminology, wrist wraps, hammock placement, inversions, and safety practices. We will also help you understand the difference between the various aerial yoga class offerings. Leaving you feeling confident and ready for classes on our weekly schedule. Aerial Yoga Flow


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
In this class we flow and hold different aerial yoga shapes that support and stretch our most common areas of need (i.e. hips, low back, shoulders, quads, etc.). It is perfect for a mid-week tune up and all levels of students! Prerequisite: Aerial Yoga Foundations workshop.
Aerial Kids (ages 11+)

Aerial Kids Workshops, Retreats, Camps (Ages 6-11+)


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
The aerial hammock is the ideal outlet for kids. Students gain strength, flexibility, and confidence while having the best time. Our youth workshops, retreats, and camps are filled with creativity and laughter. It’s the perfect environment to find better body awareness and an encouraging community to become your best self. Aerial Yoga Core/Flow


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Build heat and strength through repetition of flow sequences. This class will warm you up then cool you down at the end. In just a brief time, you’ll achieve a sense of accomplishment and readiness to embrace the rest of your day. Prerequisite: Aerial Yoga Foundations workshop.

Aerial Yoga Gentle


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Stretch Therapy. This class can be enjoyed by both the leisurely yogi and the super athlete. Our most gentle format incorporates longer, slow stretching, pranayama (breathing techniques), and self-massage with hammocks, blocks and balls. Unwind, unravel and empower the body gently. There is no prerequisite for this class but we do strongly suggest you take an Aerial Yoga Foundations workshop if this is your first time doing aerial.

Aerial Yoga: Slow Flow Deep Stretch


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
End your day with conscious breathing and deep lengthening of the muscles. With the hammock set to either waist height or low setting (below the knees), we will warm up our muscles and joints gently. Once warm we will hold postures for several breaths to promote relaxation, release stored stress, and improve mobility. Prerequisite: Aerial Yoga Foundations workshop.

Aerial Yoga: Core and Deep Stretch


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
This aerial class focuses on strength, conditioning and stretch. Build your core strength, increase your stability and balance, along with flexibility. This class includes repetitions, sequencing, and focused stretches. OK if you are active and comfortable with planks. Prerequisite: Aerial Yoga Foundations workshop.

Aerial Yoga: Strength, Tone, and Restore (Low Setting)


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Build your core strength, improve your posture, increase your stability and balance, along with flexibility. Aerial Strength, Tone, and Restore uses the hammock at a low setting to create isometric movements and engage differently than you do in a Core class. Please note that light weights and resistance bands may be used. This class is perfect for anyone who doesn’t like to invert and is welcome to all levels of experience! There is no prerequisite for this class but we do strongly suggest you take an Aerial Yoga Foundations workshop if this is your first time doing aerial.

Use the hammock to perform flips, tricks, and dance routines—a fun and dynamic way to explore movement. If you’re a first-timer or an expert of the practice, you’ll unleash the confidence and tenacity to do things you didn’t realize were possible.

Lyra Foundations


Beginner Only
You’ve seen beautiful performances and cool tricks on the Lyra, but you don’t even know yet how to get yourself up there? You think you are not strong enough, your hands get tired way before the class ends and have no idea where to even start? Start here with a Lyra Foundations workshop. You will learn easy and graceful ways to get onto the Lyra, beginner-friendly poses, transitions and shapes, low flow on the bottom of the Lyra, and aerial-specific safety and conditioning techniques and drills. Aerial Arts Hammock Foundations


Beginner Only
For new students who are just starting their Aerial Arts journey this series is for you! Students will learn the beginning foundations of Aerial Arts (Hang 101, Climb & Press 102, Wraps 103 and Flips 104) over the course of 4 weeks. You will leave this series feeling confident and have a solid foundation to attend our weekly Aerial Arts classes (i.e. Hammock Flips, Tricks, and Transitions Level 1) or Beginner Aerial Dance. Prerequisites: These Aerial Arts Foundations Classes are meant to be taken in order (e.g. 101, 102, 103, 104) to build on what was learned in the previous class. You must complete 101 before moving to 102 and so on. An Aerial Yoga Foundations workshop is not required for these classes but still highly recommended.

 

Hammock Flips, Tricks, and Transitions Level 1


Beginner & Intermediate
Learn the foundations of aerial trick technique. You’ll learn basic flips, tricks, drops, and transitions all as you build your confidence, strength, flexibility, and balance. Prerequisite: Aerial Arts Foundations classes (101-104).
Aerial Kids (ages 6-10)

Youth Aerial Dance


Beginner & Intermediate
Students learn how different aerial moves and tricks link together to create a dance routine. Our Aerial Dance classes are offered as an eight week workshop series that end with a performance for family and friends on the ninth week. Students must have prior aerial experience or have attended a Kids Aerial Foundations workshop. Youth Aerial Dance is offered for two age groups: ages 6 to 10 and for ages 11+. Lyra Level 1/1.5


Beginner & Intermediate
After you’ve completed your Lyra Foundations continue on with Lyra Level 1/1.5. Each class consists of a warm up, strength/conditioning, and shapes/transitions on the bottom bar. Then students have the opportunity to see how these shapes and transitions start to create a flow or sequence. Each class ends with a cool down. Prerequisite: Lyra Foundations.

Aerial Playtime – Open Gym


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Come practice anything you’ve been working on (lyra or hammock) or just lay in a hammock! This is an adults only class.
*Please note, no new shapes and movements; and no students teaching other students. This is purely a time and space to practice what you already know.

Lyra Level 2


Advanced Only
Now that you know some shapes on the lyra…. now what??!?! In this class we will explore how to craft transitions and explore pathways on the hoop. We will explore options in and out of popular lyra shapes as well as modifications and variations to spice up any sequence. Comfort inverting from the bottom of the hoop to the top encouraged.  Prerequisite: Lyra Foundations, Lyra Level 1/1.5, and teacher’s approval.

The bungee apparatus is a new type of aerial fitness. This method is a high intensity, low impact workout on your joints that is a ton of fun! This apparatus requires a pack of bungee cords and a harness worn around the hips and waist to support a person while they move their body into various shapes and practice creative movements from leaping, bouncing, to lunges, push-ups, squats, handstands, jumps, etc. This cardiovascular workout will build coordination, strength, endurance and while toning your body!

Bungee Buddha Foundations


Beginner Only
For students new to bungee fitness this workshop is for you! Students will learn the basics of bungee fitness; including equipment, terminology, and safety practices. Please note that you will learn to set up your lane, size your harness, and how to use and work with the bungee system. We will introduce you to a variety of movements with the bungee and link the movements together to create beginner sequences. The workshop will be a 35 minute set up, a 30 minute class, and a 10 min cool down. This experience will leave you feeling confident and ready for our bungee series! Bungee Buddha Workshops


Beginner & Intermediate
After you have completed your Bungee Buddha Foundations workshop join us for any of our bungee workshop series. Students learn how to coordinate a variety of movements with the bungee and link the movements together to create a variety of fun cardio sequences. The Great Yoga Wall enhances posture, flexibility, and strength while decompressing the spine. Its adjustable straps, swings, and bars provide support for deeper stretches, safe inversions, and improved mobility without strain. You just have to experience the unique traction and alignment benefits for yourself!

Yoga Wall Foundations


Beginner Only
If you’re new to The Great Yoga Wall, this workshop is the perfect place to start! You’ll be introduced to the wall’s various attachments, including adjustable straps, swings, and bars, and learn how they can support your practice. Step by step, we’ll guide you through different inversions and postures, showing you how the props provide stability, alignment, and confidence as you move. The Great Yoga Wall supports your body, allowing you to experience traditional yoga poses in a whole new way. Self Healers Yoga Wall

In this class we will provide you with the tools and guidance to nurture your body, empowering you to become your own healer. Using the yoga wall, along with its various attachments (adjustable straps, swings, and bars), we will work on building body awareness, enhanced body mechanics, and relieve tension and discomforts in your body with self-massage techniques. This class is a sanctuary of self-care, designed to help you unlock the potential for self-healing and rejuvenation.

Stretch & Strengthen Yoga Wall


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Build your core strength, improve your posture, increase your stability and balance, along with flexibility. Stretch & Strengthen Yoga Wall uses the yoga wall, along with its various attachments (adjustable straps, swings, and bars), we will work on building body awareness, enhanced body mechanics, all while strengthening and toning your body.
The yoga wall offers deeply supported stretches and traction in the body that you just have to experience for yourself!

Strengthen your body, turn up the heat aerobically, and build your confidence with this total body workout!

Pole Foundations


Beginner Only
For new students who have never taken pole and students just beginning their pole journey. This workshop is for you! Students will learn the basics of pole, proper technique and queuing, and safety practices for spins and transitions on the pole. You will leave this workshop confident and with a solid foundation built for success. Note: This workshop is a prerequisite to all pole fitness classes. Pole Essentials (Level 1)


Beginner Only
If you are a beginner and looking to enhance your pole skills then look no further, this is the class for you. In Pole Essentials you will learn the basic foundational pole movements in order to prepare you for the next level. These movements include but are not limited to; proper hand placement, spin moves, transitional combos, and how to maneuver around the pole in heels. During this class you will also experience a cardio induced warm-up tailored to conditioning your body for inversions and basic climbs. Followed by a tailored simple combo leading you to become more familiar with your body awareness around the pole. Heels are not required but highly suggested. Prerequisite: Pole Foundations workshop.

Pole Skills (Level 1)


Beginner Only
This class focuses on foundational pole spins, floor moves, and holds from the floor, helping students build strength and confidence. Ideal for absolute beginners and those with some experience, this class offers a fun, supportive environment to explore pole dance. There are no prerequisites for this class.

Pole Skills Static & Spin (Level 1)


Beginner Only
This class will focus on foundational pole spins, floor moves, and transitions from the floor helping students build strength and confidence. Half the class will be taught on a static pole and half the class will be taught on a spin pole. Ideal for absolute beginners and those with some experience, this class offers a fun, supportive environment to explore pole dance.

Pole: Fit & Flow (Mixed Level)


Beginner & Intermediate
Get stronger, learn new moves, and find your flow! We’ll kick off this class with strength and conditioning exercises to help you feel powerful and confident on the pole. Once we’re warmed up and feeling strong, we’ll learn a couple of fun moves and link them together into a smooth, creative flow. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve your flow, or just have fun moving, this class has a little bit of everything! Prerequisite: Pole Foundations workshop or instructor approval. Pole Play/Practice


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
The pole room will be open to students to practice spins and inversions freely. Students are to only practice movements that they have previously been taught since there is not an instructor present. Prerequisite: Pole Foundations workshop.

Wake & Werk! (Mixed Level)


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Rise and shine! It’s time to WERK! This class is 30 minutes of pole specific conditioning and 30 minutes of pole where we will learn a short tricks combo. It is truly the best of both worlds! This class is ideal for those who have some pole experience but can be tailored for first timers. Prerequisite: Pole Foundations workshop.

Let’s Dance! (Mixed Level)


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
In this pole class you will be taught a short choreography that will allow you to embrace your own movement. This class will challenge you regardless of your level with plenty of foundational movements presented in unconventional combinations. This class is suitable for all levels! Prerequisite: Pole Foundations workshop.

Liquid Motion®


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or newer to sensual floorwork, Liquid Motion® is for you! Liquid Motion® is a method and style of dance and movement education focused on awareness of and connection to your body to help create intentional, seamless movement. Using the techniques, fundamentals, and approach of Liquid Motion® we’ll use the floor and the wall as our apparatus to unlock, explore, and celebrate your body’s unique flow. The class will start with a full body warm up and across the floor movement drills and will end with the opportunity to play with the techniques and moves learned-creating your own short sequences.

Knee pads and leg warmers/socks are required and dressing in layers is encouraged. Yoga mats are needed for warm-up.

Pole Silks


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Just as the name suggests, this aerial apparatus combines both silks and pole! Come float, fly and spin with me as we explore different movements with pole silks. The class will start with a warmup, then some light stretching and conditioning before we take flight!

This class is ideal for folks who have completed Pole Skills series or Aerial Arts (hammock) Prerequisite Foundations series or like experience with pole, silks/ hammock, or both.

Intro to Pole Flow (Mixed Level)


Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
Ready to start connecting the dots? This beginner-friendly class is perfect for students who have completed Pole Foundations and are eager to explore the art of movement on and around the pole. You’ll learn smooth transitions, foundational choreography, and techniques to begin developing your own unique style. We’ll focus on flow, musicality, and expression, helping you build confidence as you begin to explore your movement more fully.

Whether you dance barefoot or in heels, come as you are and get ready to move with intention and creativity. 

Spin Pole


Intermediate & Advanced
This class teaches you moves on the spinning pole. You will learn to control the spin, create fluidity, and hold shapes. You must have a solid climb to attend this class. Prerequisite: Pole Foundations workshop.

Pole Tricks & Tumbles (Level 2)


Intermediate & Advanced
This class focuses on learning all types of pole tricks, as well as tumbles (strings of tricks that move down the pole). We will be using the full length of the pole, so being comfortable with heights is a plus. Must be comfortable climbing and inverting, as well as with leg hangs/holds on the pole. Prerequisite: Instructor approval is required.

Pole-o-graphy


Intermediate & Advanced
Pole-o-graphy is choreography for pole! This intermediate level class will get your body moving with longer dance sequences that incorporate the floor and pole. Pole-o-graphy focuses less on individual moves/tricks, and more on being able to perform the movements together. It is recommended that students feel comfortable moving around the pole, and have had an introduction to basic inverts. Prerequisite: Pole Foundations workshop.

While we love our apparatuses and props, we also offer a variety of mat-based classes—including Chair Yoga, AcuYoga (yoga combined with acupuncture), Hatha yoga, and strength & conditioning designed specifically for aerialists.

Root and Rise Yoga
